Japanese Pokémon cards in Canada: buying from Japan, shipping and import fees
To get Japanese Pokémon cards in Canada at Japanese prices, buy from a seller in Japan that ships to Canada by courier. FedEx from Japan is tracked and takes days rather than weeks; GST/HST and any duty are charged on parcels over C$20.
Canadian import shops are quicker to reach and some include import costs in their price. Below: your options, what shipping costs, how import fees work, and what to check before you buy.

Shipping Japanese cards to Canada
We ship from Japan to Canada by FedEx, with tracking from dispatch. These are the current numbers:
| Carrier | FedEx |
| Shipping from | ¥6,600 for the smallest parcel; the exact cost is calculated at checkout by weight |
| Delivery | Tracked courier from Japan |
| Import tax | Nothing up to C$20. Above that, GST (5%) or HST (13–15% by province), plus any provincial tax and duty, collected by the courier with its brokerage fee. |
Several boxes and slabs ship together in one parcel, so the shipping cost per item falls as the order grows. The exact cost for your order is shown at checkout before you pay.
GST/HST and duty on Japanese cards imported to Canada
- C$20 or less: a courier parcel from Japan clears without GST/HST or duty.
- Over C$20: GST or HST at your province's rate (5% to 15%), plus any duty, is charged on delivery. FedEx collects it with its own brokerage fee.
- Declared value: we declare the full value you paid on every shipment and never under-value. Check the Canada Border Services Agency guidance before a large order.
Japanese booster boxes in Canada
Japanese booster boxes sell at Japanese retail prices and hold fewer packs than English boxes, so the price per pack is what to compare: see how many packs are in a Japanese booster box. Ours come from Japanese distributors in factory shrink. Browse Japanese Pokémon booster boxes or compare every box on the booster box price tracker.
Graded cards and One Piece
Japanese PSA 10 slabs are priced against the live Japanese market; check the cert number on PSA's site. The same route works for Japanese One Piece cards, whose sets release in Japan well before the English versions.
Paying in Canadian dollars
Prices are set in yen. You pay the yen total through Wise in CAD, by bank transfer, or by card through Stripe (a small processing fee applies). We receive yen, so there is no second currency conversion on our side.
